Vila Fria Campsite is a tourist resort for rural leisure, equipped with camping, caravanning and 2 excellent bungalows, with a total capacity of 90 people. It has a swimming pool, a playground, two walking paths (PR1 and PR2), bicycles for hire that allow the tourist to know the rich historical and cultural heritage and the rurality and scenic beauty of its surroundings. The park is part of an area of great interest, since it is close to the Monastery of St. Maria de Pombeiro, a great reference of the Romanesque Route – one of the excellent tourist products of the Porto and North region.
It has two fully equipped bungalows for 2 and 4 people.

Region gastronomy

In the vineyards you can feel the terroir and taste excellent wines. Noteworthy at the table are the Codfish Felgueiras – recently created identity dish (part of the dietary diet of the Benedictine monks of Pombeiro since at least 1638; the sponge cake and the Cavacas de Margaride. These suggestions are harmonized with the wines of excellence produced in Felgueiras, including some from biodynamic agriculture.

What to see

We suggest visiting the Roman Villa of Sendim; the five monuments that make up the Romanesque Route, especially the Pombeiro Monastery which is one of the largest and most visited references of the route; the companies of the Business Tourism Roadmap (Footwear Factories, Wine Farms, Margaride’s sponge cake houses and embroidery houses); Leonardo Coimbra House of Culture and St. Quiteria Hill and Sanctuary, which welcomes more and more tourists.
Come experience, taste and feel… Felgueiras!
