Small and welcoming park located on the banks of the river Zêzere, it reaps the benefits of the river proximity with which it refreshes. Under a magnificent grove, which provides excellent shade, it is a good starting point to discover Constância. A picturesque land that knew how to captivate kings and poets, an example of this is D. Sebastião fleeing the plague, D. Maria II to whom it owes its current name, Luís de Camões who immortalized this village in his verses, Alexandre O’Neill, Vasco Lima Couto, Heitor da Silveira, and many others. It asserts itself in this way as “Vila Poema” and offers its visitors nooks and crannies to explore, with its narrow streets, civil and religious monuments, old houses, museums and gardens.
