Park with direct access to the beach, with passage under a golf course. The name of the Park originates from the river that flows into the parish of Estela, municipality of Póvoa de Varzim, whose patron saint is S. Pedro, the fisherman. In Praça do Almada, Póvoa de Varzim, one of the most important Portuguese writers was born, Eça de Queirós. It is recommended to visit the aqueduct ruins (18th century,) as well as the old windmills. The county’s extensive coastline makes it very attractive for board sports, namely bodyboarding and surfing.
